Please don’t go
I am currently preparing a very rare and interesting pathological specimen: the amputated leg of a d.og with implant site osteosarcoma. He had a torn ACL repaired several years ago with a metal plate, but then developed the extremely rare side effect of bone cancer at the site. The leg was amputated at the clinic where I work, and I am preparing it to articulate and display as a teaching specimen. This is the tibia.
Let your blood control your body. Let the boiling reach your eyes. Let the hunger lead you on like a trail in a thicket.
“I’d rather die drunk, broke at 34 and have people at a dinner table talk about me than live to be rich and sober at 90 and nobody remembered who I was.”
Whiplash (2014) dir. Damien Chazelle

Am I broken? Do you love me? Am I loved? Did you break me?
Do you love the cracks? Did you revel the sound? Did the bones snap clean when you drove the heel?

My parents used to always talk about my neighbor’s butchered cow dumping ground, but I didn’t realize how amazing it would be!! We took the five nicest looking skulls, leaving probably ten more, along with complete skeletons and a beautiful pelvis that I’m definitely going back for.
The one of the right is my favorite ❤ but he’s missing most his teeth…
