yesterday’s bone bath! added in soap after these pics to make it a bubble bone bath, let them soak for like an hour, then went and scrubbed the last of the dirt off. they’re still drying on milk crates, I left them in the garage overnight and hopefully they can get some more sun today to dry them completely

Mouse defrosted, scalpels and blades at the ready

starting to skin, gradually making my way around the chest and down the sides of the mouse, plus starting on the arms. There aren’t many photos after this because i didn’t want to touch my phone all –

Very happy with the pelt, especially the face! Tail and paws are salted seperately

My workbench. Bit of mouse salting, the corpse will be rotted for the bones.

Stripey Mouse Prgress! I have captioned the images with what is going on but you can see fairly well what the images contain. I slipped up a bit around the thighs and tail and had to make the last minute decision to preserve the tail seperately. I hope the pelt works out well!
